Care Quilt Challenge

     Each month, when you show a finished Care Quilt complete with ESQ label, your name will be put into a drawing held at the end of the business meeting. The more Care Quilts you finish up and add to the stash, the better your chances of winning! Be sure to mention during Show and Tell that your quilt is a Care Quilt.

• 1 chit - for adding binding and label
  
• 2 chits - for machine quilting, adding binding and label
• 2 chits - if quilt was made from your stash and finished by you
  

Quilt Challenge - due Oct. 20, 2009

     The theme for this year's Quilt Challenge is "Fans." Make a quilt using any techniques, any size, but be sure to include fans in it somehow. Prizes will be awarded for viewer's choice (1st, 2nd, & 3rd) in both finished and unfinished categories.

President's UFO Challenge – due Dec. 2, 2009

     How many of us look longingly at the pile of "things we should finish"?  Here's a way to cross items off your to-do-list, make space for more and better fabrics, notions and stuff, and get a great prize for doing so.

     Make those "unfinished projects" work for you.  Finish any personal project (Care Quilts, stockings, etc. do not count) started before January 1st, 2009; bring it in to show during our business meetings, fill out an entry slip (available from the President), and place it in the basket.  At the Holiday Party on Dec. 2nd, a winner will be drawn from all the slips to receive a prize!  You may turn in slips for the following types of projects:

• For any personal project you finish, enter 1 slip.
• For any previous ESQ Challenge, including annual challenges, brown bag swaps, round robin challenge completed, enter 2 slips.
• For any quilt completed during this calendar year from BOM you have won in past years' BOM raffles, enter 3 slips.
